What the heck is a
"MaxTrax" anyway? Our latest release, MaxTrax Volume III, is a
production library of over 500 60-second instrumentals from the
60s, 70s and 80s, recorded by the best musicians in Dallas and
Memphis. Where this differs from most libraries available today
is that MaxTrax Volume III was recorded with almost entirely real
instruments: real horns, real drums and real strings!
This easy-to-use library is divided into five categories: fast,
medium and slow tempos, plus a section of country instrumentals
and of course Christmas is represented here too.

The 1980s was a
decade full of memorable music, maybe because in the early 80s
everyone was recording pop music and even production libraries
with real instruments, and machines had not yet taken over.
Pop hits at that
time were hip but still sounded human. Think about Kenny Rogers,
Diana Ross, Michael Jackson's early albums, Billy Joel, Paul
Simon and Christopher Cross. And don't forget about Motown's
output in the 80s. Great stuff. Everything used real drums, real
bass, even real brass!
We heard little touches of synthesizers in popular music back
then, but it was primarily used as an accent here and there. The
early 80s was good time for popular music and in fact, that is
when this library of great production tracks was recorded in
Memphis and Dallas. We call it MaxTrax Volume IV, and you'll
hear what we mean.
